SACRAMENTO! Join us as we take to the streets for the 36th Annual Sacramento Women Take Back the Night!
The 2015 Rally and March will be an evening of remembrance, celebration, and action to stand against all forms of violence against women and children.
When: October 10th (Second Saturday)
Start Time: 5:00pm | March through Midtown: 8:00pm
Location: Sacramento Native American Health Center, Inc.- 2020 J Street, Sacramento, CA 95814
This is a FREE event – open to anyone interested in taking a stand to end violence, sexism, and inequality against women.
The resource fair will kick-off the evening with information and resource tables staffed by our local co-sponsors, and will continue throughout the Rally to provide information about the crucial services offered in our community. Come and stop by at SWOP Sacramento’s table.
The Rally will feature live music, incredible performances by local artists and activists, dynamic speakers on the topic of violence against women, a survivor speak-out, community art project and more! This will be the first time in history that sex workers and trafficking victims have had a voice at this event…. Truly history in the making!
At 8pm we will take to the streets in protest – a tradition that has taken place in Sacramento since 1979!
Come out, bring your friends and family for an incredible night of activism, energy, and commitment to end all forms of violence and oppression against women and other marginalized communities! ASL interpreted.
