The Stop the Raids Committee (https://stoptheraids.org/) formed to address the onslaught of raids and arrests of members of our sex work community – including our clients. We fully expect that those raids will ramp up in the run up to Super Bowl LVI, which will be held Sunday February 13th, 2022 at SoFi Stadium in Los Angeles.

The Stop The Raids, Stand With Sex Worker Rights webinar will address the raids, arrests, street sweeps, and anti prostitution operations. It will provide a platform for invited speakers and audience members to discuss the harms of criminalization, and how the decriminalization of sex work protects sex workers from violence, decreases health risks, and helps protect marginalized members of our community.

Let’s focus on building a movement for change in LA, that will shift perspectives on criminalization and anti trafficking enforcement, and create alternate policies with impacted communities, community based groups, the public, and policy makers.

Let’s come together to tackle the failed anti-prostitution laws that disproportionately target communities of color and low income communities.

The members of the Stop the Raids Committee (https://stoptheraids.org/) include the US PROStitutes collective, Sex Workers Outreach Project (SWOP) Sacramento, The Sidewalk Project, Strippers United, the Erotic Service Providers Legal Education and Research Project (ESPLERP), the Free Speech Coalition, and some members of the Adult Industry Laborers & Artists Association.
